Notes: Found in Zone 38 close to Zone 37. There were lots of these scattered over a few square feet of forest floor; they’re only a few mm wide each.
The nearby Zone 37 is a clearing and bramble thicket of Rubrus idaeus. Also close by is Zone 49, pure older pine and mentioned earlier for its false morels and suilli. Zone 36 is also not far from this site, but has a very similar species mix to 38, differing mainly in that it is more open. Also, Cypripedium acaule grows in Zone 36, but I have not seen it in 38.
The other Zones bordering 38 (39, 43, and 48) are much further from the site of these mushrooms.
