No herbarium specimen

Notes: Aside from what looks more like a collared bulb than a membranous volva, resembles a destroying angel. I took an up-from-beneath shot of one and slugs had eaten the gills. Found in Zone 48.

was Amanita virosa, but I soon realized it wasn’t :-)
