Observation 24486: Boletus L.
When: 2009-08-17
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This was found under Beech with Oak and Hickory growing near by. This particular species doesn’t stain blue even over a long period of time. It has a very yellow poor surface and a very red cap. There where several in the area seemingly growing by two’s/ some had double stalks. Spore print olive brown. Was eaten with out any ill effect so i have to assume it is edible.
