I guess the internet is full of all types of misinformation.

I was on another site and one of the “trusted identifiers” told me it had a cog wheel annulus, guess they shouldn’t be trusted eh. :)

It is indeed an Agaricus but A. campestris does not have a cogwheel annulus…

I think the annulus has washed off due to the heavy rains GA has been having, I noted some smaller specimens today and they appeared to be A. campestris or something close, the annulus seemed right…cogwheel.

These were found in a pasture near the Chattahoochee National Forest.
