Substrate: Growing on rocks in large boulder fields covering much of the summit area of Mont Jaques-Cartier.

Identification: Dark gray Umbilicaria with a reticulate pattern of sharply etched ridges near the umbilicus, silvery white pruina setting off the center of the thallus, and numerous black apothecia
