Observation 25052: Agaricus L.
When: 2009-09-05
No herbarium specimen

Notes: The largest of these mushrooms is about four inches in diameter. Yellow staining can be seen right under the skin of the cap in the second photo. The yellow was pretty bright when I first sliced the mushroom, but it faded a bit by the time I took the photo. They were growing under mixed hardwoods. They did not smell bad to me, but I do not trust my sense of smell when it comes to Agaricus.
