Notes: Found growing under Hickory. very close to trunk/ There where several of them growing close together. this looks like a Leccinum. Has White pore surface non bruising.

Recognized by sight: Scabers readily visible on 57202, 57204 and 57205. Possibly L. griseum, based on Arora’s Mushrooms Demystified, which should have a cracked areolate cap, noticeably absent on these photos; but associated with hardwoods, especially oak in Eastern U.S.

Blue staining of the base of the stipe seen in the last photo rules out L. scabrum.
