On the original T. rutilans log from last year, in Zone 24. This time there aren’t just two of them, but at least half a dozen scattered along the log, sometimes in pairs. Some other logs in Zone 24 had profuse outbreaks of a dozen or more of these.

Recognized by sight: Yellow color of the cap. T. rutilans has a purplish red cap. Maybe the Tricholomopsis species like to hang out ont he same log?
