Observation 25806: Amanita muscaria var. guessowii Veselý
When: 2009-09-25
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found these mushrooms growing in mulch/tanbark a few feet away from a group of pine trees in an industrial park. Approximately 9 cm tall caps on the mature example are 13 cm in diameter with various stages of maturity observed. The caps exhibit a lemon yellow color with cream colored warts. The stipe is an off white shade with a noticable ring. The mature caps retain their warts and become a washed out cream color with a tan color towards the center. Gills are white to cream in color.
