Observation 26052: Leccinellum crocipodium (Letell.) Bresinsky & Manfr. Binder

Now I wish I had saved these. I couldn’t get a quick spore print on them so I’m just making a guess on the ID. The caps are firm, with light yellow flesh, and fairly rugose. The caps did have a violet tint to them which is more evident in the flash photo although that feature didn’t seem to be noted in any of the descriptions that I could find. There was some light yellow at the base, which is noted.
