a name proposal existing within an observation does not make it searchable unless that name has received consensus. the only way for this to show up in a L. cepaestipes search is either to make a separate observation for which L. cepaestipes is the focus or to repurpose the existing one

Walt: Mixed collection is intended for observations of assortments of fungi (ie: display tables, foray hauls) or observations containing two or more spp. the observer mistakenly believes to be identical. that’s not the case here.

good to hear it.

No sore feelings here Deb, and Dork is a compliment in my neck of the woods. Last I checked, being called ‘Normal’ was the real insult!

Them Normals wouldn’t last a day without us Dorks on the scene…

I am totally curious why you are suggesting I make another obs to highlight the Boletus, when I made this obs specifically for the Bolete and not the Leucocoprinus! Notice, I am not the one who added either of the Leucocoprinus names to this obs!

You are a dork :p

Boletus orovillus should be handled through a separate observation

You can reuse existing images on another observation for cases exactly like this.

Yes, forgot to mention, that is exactly what it is growing with.
Good idea to add the name, now this post pops up when people search for that name as well.
