Observation 26184: Leucoagaricus Locq. ex Singer

Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Found by others and brought into the SMG meeting.

These were found on a pile of wood chips, and brought into the meeting. No one there at the meeting knew what they were, or had seen them before. One person commented that he had seen mushrooms in the area for 15 years, and hadn’t seen these before. We assume they are some sort of Leucocoprinus or Lepiota, but not sure.

Does anyone have an idea on these? I saved a few caps if anyone has an idea on what to look for with the microscope here…

the ring is typical of the genus

Leucoagaricus or Leucocoprinus are good calls!
