Observation 26196: Amanita “sp-S01” Tulloss crypt. temp.

When: 2009-09-20

Collection location: Big Thicket, Polk Co., Texas, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

Specimen available

I’m having trouble pinning these down. The caps were about 5.3-6.6 cm across with stipes up to about 12.0 cm. No ring that I could see. The spores were non-amyloid and a very rough estimation of their size;~7.9 X 5.7 microns. The caps were slightly viscid and the striations were approx. 0.50-0.70 cm.
They appear similar to Species sp-1 in Rod Tulloss’ Tx.-La.-Mi. list.

I’m inclined to agree with the assessment visa vis the TX list…

I’d go the same way, Ron.
