Notes: This beautiful Hygrocybe is a first for me, I believe. It resembles H. conica in all aspects, but has a distinctly slimy cap and stipe. Both stipe and cap show blackening/staining. Base of stipe shows several colors not mentioned in Arora: mauve, pink, blue, fuchsia, cream, blue-black, purple and black. Main criteria for me to call this H. singeri is the viscid stipe. And since I have never knowingly collected a Hygrocybe before, I could be quite wrong.
