Notes: Found in August 2008 in Juneau, Alaska, a moderate rainforest.

The gel on the inside was quite hard, but still gel-like.

Recognized by sight: Looks like a rare fungi in the east except the center is brown instead of black It is known as the Dog nose fungi Peridoxlon petersii. Also may be in the species Carnarops
