Observation 2662: Stereum hirsutum (Willd.) Pers.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: With all the new rains, the Sterium was in bloom. After awhile I find these pretty boring, but right after a good rain, they are everywhere. Nice bright blooms of reddish brown fungus, kinda like petals of flowers covering rotting branches of live oak.

They were so nice on this day, I had to get a few photos.
