Observation 27010: Jahnoporus hirtus (Quél.) Nuss

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found on the ground probably on buried wood in a mixed red alder and big leaf maple grove interspersed with old conifer stumps. Nice brown velvet cap with the stipe on one side. The flesh is meaty like lobster meat and in the cap is layered like an onion! A polypore I think, but clueless really. Thanks for your help!
