Neat lighting

but the specimen is old and degraded, and the focus is not as sharp as it could be. The lighting could make a great photo with a younger subject and sharper focus.

Take a spore print.

If you get none, probably Macowanites. Otherwise, probably Russula.

Looks liks a Russula

but with some gills fused together, may be trying to become something else. Not all the photos look like the same fungus, i.e. the middle photo shows a slightly reddish stipe similar to Russula rosacea, but the last photo cannot be a Russula. What’s up with these photos?
