Observation 27528: Suillus spraguei (Berk. & Curtis) Kuntze
When: 2009-08-22
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Funny looking mushroom — thick flesh, and crumbly, almost like a broken-open muffin texture where the slugs(?) had eaten away at the flesh. No gills on the bottom, just little craters. 8 to 10 cm diameter. Found walking in the woods. Probably growing on leaf debris, tho I can’t tell from my pics and can’t remember.
