Observation 27562: Hebeloma (Fr.) P. Kumm.
When: 2009-10-30
No herbarium specimen
0 Sequences

This small Hebeloma (I think) has a reddish-tint to a mostly brown spore print; is mycorrhizal with Quercus palustris (Eastern Red oak) and is most abundant now through December. The aroma is strong and distinctive: I get lilacs, but it has been suggested by others to be of sweet peas.
