is that a white hypomyces on the pores and upper stipe? was the context yellow, changing to blue? otherwise, I’d have to agree…this is not appendiculatus as I know it.

This isn’t even B. appendiculatus in the sense of the CA authors in general…

this is not Boletus appendiculatus in the sense of European authors …
