Hypholoma marginatum is the preferred name for Hypholoma dispersum. They are the same species.

H. marginatum it is – consulted “Hypholoma West of the Rockies”

Thank you! My first thought was Hypholoma dispersum var. dispersum. Are there microscopic differences or is this a bad name?
