Found in landscaped mulch bed under a Fur/Pine tree, here is the link.http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11339494

I’d be interested to see what you find.

The photos are vivid.

Were there blueberries in the area of collection?

i simply over looked the possibility, but now that you mention it, the warts did seem oddly more yellow than what one would expect to see with persicina. I’ll see if i can get a sample for you.

How did you exclude Amanita wellsii as a possibility?

In the photo of a pile of specimens, one specimens on the left seems to have a continuous layer of powdery volva over the middle of the cap…

Amanita muscaria var. persicina has never been reported as far north as Vermont. It would be very interesting if this collection is truly persicina.

Is there ANY HOPE of getting dried material?

R.
