these are old photos, and i never collected.

if i’m up that way in the spring i’ll swing by to check up on that log though.

You are correct that Polyporus squamosus is not known west of the Rockies. Do you have more photos of the cap or maybe cut in half? Microscopic features would help on this one.

this species is often cited with a range east of the rockies, and i’m not familiar with potential western species which are similar.
