Notes: Found in oak/bay/madrone habitat. Did not blue at all. Maybe B. appendiculatus? Pores lemon yellow.

Querciregius much more likely

Bu. querciregius is the common species in Marin County with oaks. The red band on the stalk, though not always present, is more characteristic of querciregius than autumniregius, and the dull cap color also.

B. appendiculatus will stain blue
