I happen to have this species growing in my back yard at present so have been able to watch it go from a small white blob to a spore Bering fruiting body.
So are reasonably sure of my suggestion.

The sporangia in this view are clearly immature as indicated by the shiny appearance. There are several look alikes at this stage of maturity
