Recognized by sight: Grayish cap with furrowed margin and powdery grayish veil remnants. Powdery stalk appears to have no ring. Base of stalk?

Where every species of section Vaginatae that we found was an undescribed species. I suggest that you might check the species of sect. Vaginatae that are listed in the E Texas and Gulf Coast amanita key at

http://eticomm.net/~ret/amanita/key.dir/texaslst.html

Maybe Amanita species V3 would be a closer fit than A. farinosa.
