Observation 29551: Xeromphalina cornui (Quél.) J. Favre
When: 2009-12-05
No herbarium specimen

Notes: The first big snow happened to day and yes i was out with my snow shoes on looking for mushrooms. I did not expect to find any gilled mushrooms being it 22 degrees out here and snowing like crazy. but sure enough This little small LBM was sprouting from a very decomposing moss covered log. The stem is velvety and tough fibrous. The next few observation will be of some of what i found out here in the blizzard.
