With the weather getting colder, I imagine you may see some lavender on these by Christmas. I recall driving from Seneca, SC just into Georgia on Christmas Eve years ago and finding my first lavender speckled lavendula beside a lake.
The very purple material we recently saw in Cape Cod was produced by a sustained period of temperature just barely above freezing (a degree or three, Farenheit).
