Observation 29652: Agaricus cupreobrunneus (Jul. Schäff. & Steer) Pilát
When: 2009-12-06
Who: crbbndt
No herbarium specimen

Notes: well small in stature but everything else matches, Location poor soil grassy field edge, gills pink before opening , dark chocolate later on, no ring on stalk, mild mushroomy smell when squished, no yellow staining. these are usually prolific once the rains get steady in this field however these are the first three this year. (one is not in pic doing print). this may be wrong name but closest i can come they are edible at least by me. Been eating them for 3 years now from this field. They are delicious and mild i use them daily in the winter for omletes (yummy)
