Recognized by sight: The smooth yellowish-green (olive color) of cap. Sac-live volva, and annulus help distinguish this mushroom.
Based on microscopic features: The gill trama is bilateral (divergent).
Hyphae project downward from the pileus in which other hypahe parallel or subparallel diverge in an oblique fashion.
