Bright yellow reticulations extend over a relatively large portion of the stipe.

Boletus flaviporus (bottom two), Boletus citriniporus (top two). Notice differences in stipe color (white in B. flaviporus, tan to brownish in B. citriniporus). Also note the band of pale tissue at margin of the pileus in B. flaviporus – not present in B. citriniporus or much reduced.
