The cap is about 5 in by 3 in. rusty brown with hairs on top. pore surface white spore print very little dropped but appears white Found growing on downed Hickory with out bark. in an open area on an old unused road,Solitary. Bruises gray blue slowly over 30 min. Texture tough but soft and watery. NO taste.Temp out side when found temp 39 degrees. Fahrenheit. 12 /16/09 9 30 am.
