Recognized by sight: Should be in Lacrymaria
Distinguished from L. lacrymabunda and L. velutina in having dark brown fibers which are usually erect, making it look spiky.
In contrast, L. lacrymabunda and L. velutina tend to have lighter orange brown fibrils which are usually appressed.
