Amanita amerimuscaria or if you prefer Amanita muscaria occurs commonly under aspen, birch and less often under oaks…

Looking at this image it doesn’t appear to be under conifer there are no pine needles any where in the pic. From my understanding A. amerimuscaria is strictly a confer loving species.
