Notes: This tiny Amanita (quarter sized or slightly larger) fruits under native oaks and under an imported beech.

The ones in the link were found by wild – growing oak on my property.

I have found other similar small amanitas growing under planted oak on the campus of Luzerne County Community College, and under Blue Spruce on my neighbor’s land. So far, no closure on the name for any of this type(s).

Color of cap in my collections has varied, but none so dark as seen in your obs (this one).

They are similar. I find what looks like the same thing in the same location as this observation.
