The known symbionts…

The number of known symbionts for this species are rather small. The first time I found it was in hemlock-northern hardwood forest in Sussex Co., northwestern New Jersey. Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis) is usually present, but hemlock does not occur on the Island of Newfoundland where the species has been found once or twice with other conifers. I probably have a note to that effect on the Amanita Studies page for albocreata.
