Observation 31560: Cortinarius croceus (Schaeff.) Gray

Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: The spores on these were approx. 6.5-7.7 X 5.0-5.8 microns and somewhat rough.
They were growing near a pine and the overall coloring had more yellow than red so perhaps Cortinarius croceus is a reasonable guess.

Very common in California this time of year.. Under pines.
