Observation 31732: Boletus nobilis Peck

No herbarium specimen

Notes: cap with 9 cm smooth,convex surface dry color light yellowish tan. Pores white non staining, Stalk 6cm x 3cm roughened at the base tuning to fine reticulations towards the cap. color light tan/brown. Flesh white taste mild no odor spore print rusty brown. Found growing solitary under Beech.

variipes, but spore print color matches nobilis. Maybe it’s a bleached out nobilis?
