Notes: Locality: 29°16’28.21"N, 103°17’12.18"W, el. 1745-2170 m

Substrate and habitat: Growing on rocks, boulders, and shear rock precipices in an open woodland of piñon, juniper, and oak.

Identification: Seven species of Usnea are reported from the park:

epiphytic and with abundant spiny apothecia:
cirrosa, intermedia (=arizonica)

epiphytic and generally without apothecia:
hirta, subfloridana, lapponica, substerilis

on rocks:
amblyoclada
