Notes: cap 7 cm round, convex,dry ( at the time of collection dry but forest debris adhering to cap) silky,silver blue, toward the margin, brown in the center, with brown striations. smooth, becoming depressed in the center. Margin upturned
Gills Close purple brown attached to stem, narrow,. Flesh meaty no odor or taste.
Stem unequal with a very swollen base no collar stem rough with fibrils, cream with a light purple patches, fibrils stained by spore deposits rust brown, Base swollen almost bulbous. rough with purple fibrils. Cortina remnants just below the apex showing rusty brown spore deposits, apex having light purplish blotching. Spore print rusty brown.
Found solitary growing in mixed woods under Oak/Hickory, Beech, maple in the area.
