I hadn’t gone to the meeting yet this year, since there was snow on the ground, I didn’t expect there to be anything to look at. But I had a bunch of scope work done, and I wanted to get books from the library, so I went on down. I expected to just sit with the books for a couple hours, but there they were, about 10 people and a table full of crusts and polypores. So, I sat down and just started taking pictures. I need more photos of crusts and polypores in any case, so it was pretty good really.
Not sure I’ll ever get enough photos of crusts that they will make any sense to me…
so not only does your local mushroom club meet weekly, but year round too??! collecting fungal crusts in the snow!?
gee, and i think that I am obsessed…we American collectors are pishers compared to our European colleagues!
