Observation 3231: Crepidotus mollis (Schaeff.) Staude
When: 2007-05-04
No herbarium specimen

Notes:

I’m not sure about this identification. The edges are serrated, which doesn’t show well in the photo.
May 5: Well, the spores are clearly brown.
Would the C. crocophyllus become this light as it aged or do I assume it’s C. mollis?
May 6: C. mollis it is!

I’d call it C. mollis

The big thing with C. crocophyllus are the yellow to orange gills which I don’t see any sign of.

Might be Crepidotus

The photo looks like the gills may have some color hinting at a brown spore print. If so, then it would be a Crepidotus. However you comment about the serrated edges suggests Lentinus which has a white spore print.
