Observation 32352: Phanerochaete P. Karst.
When: 2010-01-07
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: The entire specimen is about 2 cm in size. The specimen seems close to descriptions of P. galactites, but I don’t know that species. I originally confused it with Piloderma because of lack of cystidia and the color of the fruiting body.

[admin – Sat Aug 14 02:03:19 +0000 2010]: Changed location name from ‘Mt. Vision, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, Marin Co, CA’ to ‘Mount Vision, Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin Co., California, USA

Based on chemical features: ITS sequence confirms this genus. The species is not clear but it seems close to P. galactites due to lack of cystida and spore size.
