Observation 32381: Callistosporium Singer
When: 2010-01-15
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Not sure what this is… Found on well decayed wood. I did not do a spore print, but the spores may have been pink, I am really not too sure.

This was the only fruiting body, and the cap was approximately 2cm across.

Are there any other collections or photos?? I would love to see photos of anything similar.

Sadly I don’t remember where I collected this, so I can’t go back and get it again… I was out with Dimitar and Noah and must have been distracted and remember pulling it quickly off some wood and saying “weird” and tossing it in my tackle box and forgetting about it until I opened the tackle box to dry collections.

undescribed?

This might be the undescribed species of Callistosporium seen in the Bay Area. I saw it at a MSSF fair many years ago with Harry Thiers. It should go to Tom Bruns and be checked out.
