Notes: Brought into the 2005 LAMS Mushroom Fair. Most likely this came from the Cleveland National Forest foray, but I don’t know that for sure.

Recognized by sight: Typical stipe and cap of a Helvella. Pale cap suggests H. crispa, but given the recent publication of new taxa for California it seems unlikely that this is the same species as the European H. crispa.
