Observation 32924: Atheniella adonis (Bull.) Redhead, Moncalvo, Vilgalys, Desjardin, B.A. Perry
When: 2010-01-27
No herbarium specimen

Notes: These were growing on fir needles and were small, with caps up to 1.3cm across.
They were not hygrophanous and the spores were white and not amyloid.
The few spores I could measure were about 6.8-9.0 X 4.1-5.0 microns and broadly pip-shaped. The one Norwegian site lists the spore width as 5.0 microns minimum.
However, the spore shape is right and the pinkish coloring of the cap seems to fit well with the general descriptions.
