with this bulbous-based, pink-capped bolete, but the stipe ornamentation tells the tale: reticulations about 2/3 of the way down on eastwoodiae (not shown here) vs yellow base masked with red granules or tomentum (shown here, along with a whole mess of bolete maggots, when you enlarge to see).

eastwoodiae is more of a fall fruiter, too, but I take seasonal occurence with a grain of salt, these days…
