that was my first hit when I saw the yellow cap…

but it was growing on wood (not a chip…this chunk came directly from a log), in a woodland. no grass, no cow dung around.

I’ll check the spores tonight…it does seem to be the best overall match, despite the habitat anomalie.

yellow cap, purple brown spores and free gillls???
