I couldn’t find the current species name in order to mark it as misspelled.

hanging from the edge of the cap, this can’t be a species of Amanita sect. Phalloideae (such as A. bisporigera and A. phalloides). Considering that I think I can see warts encircing the top of the bulb, I’d put the two observations together and say this is a species of sect. Lepidella. Unfortunately, we’d need better focus and another photograph showing the shape of the excavated bulb…in order to make a reasonable guess at a species name. It would be very interesting to see more photos of this species from a future visit to the same site.
